Refresher Days for Continuing Professional Development
Family Links requires all Parent Group Leaders (PGLs) to attend an annual refresher day to maintain a licence to practice. It provides a chance to enhance skills and share tips and experience and is a great way for lapsed practitioners to renew their skills.
Parent Group Leaders
- revisit the fundamental principles of the Programme
- assess and develop their practice as PGLs
- problem-solve challenges that arise when running groups
- network and update on local and national development
- learn how being a PGL meets the National Occupation Standards for Work with Parents (NOSWWP)
- receive a Continuing Professional Development certificate
All PGLs attending a refresher day before 31st March 2012 will also receive an updated PGL handbook. You can read more about the PGL handbook here
